In our initial partnering meeting, I explained my need to be able to hand off the auto portion of the move to someone and feel completely confident that it was taken care of. My partnership with AutoGo Auto Transport began approximately 10 years ago. The Household Goods (HHG) relocation industry had changed considerably, requiring automobiles to be cut from shipments to maximize van cargo space. Prior to this, automobiles were normally transported in the same trailer with the HHG.
To satisfy this new need I tried numerous car carriers in hopes of finding a trusted vendor that adhered to the same customer service philosophy as I do. My experiences were inconsistent.
During peak season there is no time for redundant communications, returned shipments that cannot be serviced, change orders, lost drivers or the rest of the many problems related to transportation. Everybody involved must be dedicated and focused on the mutual goal of a satisfied customer even though it may be frustrating and require working outside of normal business hours. It takes a committed person.
Fortunately, I met Michelle and gave her an opportunity. The first thing that was immediately very different was her response time to my quote requests. Often, I would have to “chase” brokers to get a dollar amount, extending the sales cycle and limiting my ability to close jobs and keep moving forward.
Secondly, communication between Michelle, my office and the customer throughout the move process was regular and specific. Over the years my agency has shipped hundreds of cars with Michelle and never experienced a major service failure.
Our relationship has evolved to the point that I have complete confidence Michelle will fulfill both my customer’s and my expectations whenever I request her assistance with an auto relocation. She handles all customer communication including scheduling and related details.
